This Fantom Drive is a compact, aluminum-clad hard disc drive with a few exceptional features. First, there is no fan noise because there is no fan! The drive itself makes the usual sounds which are distinct and unobjectible. To further indicate that The Fantom is doing its thing, there is a bright delta blue led which blinks while booting, reading and writing. In all, this handsome drive perfectly compliments the Macintosh Imac series and is otherwise sleek, sexy and portable. Another great feature is that the drive accepts all three modern connectors (as opposed to other drives which offer USB only for this price point). This Fantom drive offers a hefty 1 Tetra-gig capacity which makes it perfect for a fixed back-up drive for use with Time Machine or other auto backup programs. The significant drop in price is evidence that the magnet disc drive is in its final days. This in no way makes it a obsolete. With the trend leaning towards micro flash drives which are sure to replace internal external discs in the future. The Fantom is a compact, high capacity gem that provides an ideal storage/backup solution. For this fantastic price, you may want to buy more than one. Mine has been in use for over 6 months with nary a complaint. If you need an external hard drive for achieving, transport or back-up, the 1 T Fantom is an excellent choise.
